I love shoes. No, really, I love them. We’re turning an extra bedroom in our house into a closet so that I have more room to store my shoes. That’s how much I love shoes. Now, I have a large foot – size 10, usually wide. That makes it difficult to find shoes that fit comfortably. I don’t care. If they’re cute, I want them. Actually I should clarify – I love sandals. High heeled, pink, yellow, red, blue, doesn’t matter. All of this unnecessary information is to say that when I heard that Las Vegas has a $3.99 shoe store, I had to go. HAD. TO. GO. So I did.
It was like shoe heaven. Sandals, flats, loafers, tennis shoes, boots. Now, granted, if you spend $3.99 on shoes, you can’t expect to get Manolo Blanicks. Not even Nine Wests. These shoes were cheap and most looked cheap, but there were so many of them. This store didn’t even have a large selection of sizes. I only found a few in my size and even fewer in my size that I liked, but I limited myself to 3 pair. I found a delicious pair of yellow and white polka dotted high heeled sandals, a pair of red and white checkered high heeled sandals and a pair of red sandals with a metallic stiletto heel. These I will forever refer to as my “Hooker Shoes.” These shoes scream street corner, red lipstick and a micro mini skirt, but I don’t care. I love them.
Now I’m off to buy clothes that match my new shoes. I think I have an addiction.
