Excuse me, Sir? Yeah, you...the business dressed man in front of me in line at airport security. Can you please hang up your phone and take your shoes off. I realize you're a very important person, but do you really think you're more important than the 100 people behind you that are trying to catch their flights? Also, Miss? I know your flight leaves in 5 minutes, but maybe you should have planned a little better when leaving for the airport. I woke up early (left my meeting early, turned off the tv early) to get to the airport on time. Maybe you should have done that too.
I travel a lot for my work. Usually four times a month. I've been to most major cities in the U.S. and some not so major. Most of these people I've mentioned look like they've traveled a lot too. I'm not sure why they act like they don't know what they're doing. Yes, security lines are usually slow and long. It's a price we pay for being secure on an airplane. I try not to get frustrated with the families with 4 kids and the old, retired couples who don't understand that grandma can't bring her hand lotion through security. I know these people probably don't travel very often and kids come with many accessories. Business travelers don't have this excuse! It's not all about you, Buddy...it's all about me!
